Call for nominations: University Council and standing committees

  • Nomination deadline: Tuesday, Jan. 20 at 5 p.m.

The Mary Frances Early College of Education is seeking nominations, including self-nominations, for three seats on the University Council and six seats on University Council Committees.

The University Council (UC) is comprised of faculty, staff, and student representatives and is charged with establishing policies and enacting rules and regulations as it deems appropriate for the interests and welfare of the University of Georgia and its academic community. Additionally, the UC acts in an advisory capacity to the president and serves as an outlet through which the campus community can voice an opinion regarding University policies and initiatives. The Council meets approximately three times per semester during the academic year at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
