Register for the NSF CAREER info session on Feb. 13

  • Date: Friday, Feb. 13
  • Time: 3-4 p.m.
  • Location: Zoom

The UGA Office of Strategic Research Development will hold an NSF CAREER proposal info session via Zoom, and a recording will be made available. It is open to anyone interested in learning more about the CAREER program. The aim is to help faculty determine whether they’re ready to apply, and if not, to provide the information they need to plan a future proposal.

Interested faculty can register to attend.

Additionally, as part of the info session, the presenters will describe—and encourage faculty to participate in—the new six-part CAREER Proposal Development Program, created and conducted in partnership with the Engineering Education Transformations Institute. This workshop series will include:

  • The NSF CAREER proposal as a professional development plan
  • Project summary peer review and strategic timeline development
  • Writing a meaningful education plan with broader impacts
  • How to effectively sell yourself and communicate your research
  • Proposal review and critique by past CAREER winners
  • Proposal editing by OSRD staff
