Summer 2026 SummerTime is Writing Time applications due Feb. 16

The Mary Frances Early College of Education Office of Research and Graduate Education has allocated funding to support faculty in writing external grant proposals. Faculty must dedicate a week of time between the third week of May and June 30 to work on an external grant proposal with the assistance of a mentor and the Office of Research and Graduate Education. Successful applications will result in the submission of an external grant to be submitted during the upcoming fiscal year. Up to three grants of $10,000 will be awarded.
Eligibility criteria:
- The submitting faculty member must be faculty in the College who has not received external funding exceeding $25,000 in the last five years.
- The mentor must have a history of external grant funding and be able to serve as PI, co-PI, or consultant on the proposal.
- The RFA to which the proposed grant will be submitted must allow for indirect costs and an annual budget that exceeds $75,000.
