The UGA Office of the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost and the Office of Research encourage nominations of outstanding faculty for the following 2026-27 internal faculty awards, with deadlines to UGA noted below.

The College of Education sets earlier due dates to allow for an internal selection/approval process. Please review the College’s internal awards page for dates due to the Office of Faculty and Staff Services.

• The University of Georgia Award for Excellence in Teaching: Friday, Oct. 30
• Richard B. Russell Awards for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching: Friday, Oct. 30
• Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professorships: Friday, Oct. 30
• University Professorships: Friday, Oct. 30
• Early Career Scholar Awards: Sunday, Nov. 1
• Non-Tenure Track Faculty Research Excellence Award: Sunday, Nov. 1
• Research Communications Award: Sunday, Nov. 1
• Team Impact Award: Sunday, Nov. 1
• International Collaborative Research Award: Sunday, Nov. 1
